As Admiral Loy says in the forward, it is the Coast Guard's first publication "to synthesize who we are, what we do, and how we do things." Auxiliary New Member Manual. This is the reference manual used for new member training. Atlantic Coast, Volume II, Light List. Lights and other marine aids to navigation, maintained by or under authority of the U.S. Coast Guard and located on waters used by general navigation, are described in the Light List. This volume includes aids located between Shrewsbury River, New Jersey and Little River, South Carolina. The Auxiliary Manual (COMDTINST M16790.1E). This is required reading for all Auxiliarists. You can also download all the individual sections as a .zip file. Get the qualification changes also. New Member Handbook. The Handbook is a brief introduction to the Auxiliary. Auxiliary Operations Policy Manual. This manual lays out how the Auxiliary performs operational support activities. If you are a pilot, aircrew-member or observer you are required to read and understand this material. Flotilla Procedures Manual. This manual describes how to administer a flotilla, handle protocols and ceremonies, and assign staff duties. Auxiliary Air Crew Training Syllabus. This PDF is a very bad scan of the aircrew qualification and training manual. Anyone planning to qualify for aircrew or observer must follow this qualification process. Auxiliary Claims Manual. The process for handing Auxiliarist's claims for damage is detailed in this manual. Coast Guard Awards for Auxiliarists. This program guide contains information about submitting an award recommendation and lists the available awards. Guide to Courtesy and Protocol. Military courtesy and protocol is relatively straightforward, but can seem daunting if you don't understand it. This program guide is a basic introduction to the subject.
