Flotilla 11-03 Staff Goals

All

  1. Make an effort to work more closely with your division counterparts
  2. Publish your monthly reports up the chain
  3. Insist on being included on your Division officer's distribution list for reports and correspondence
  4. Look for opportunities to involve other members (especially new members) in program events
  5. Make sure those opportunities are well publicized

Flotilla Commander

  1. Improve liaison with Airstation Atlantic City
  2. Improve our utility to Sector Baltimore and other local commands
  3. Work to recruit and train new pilots, aircrew and observers
  4. Work to certify new facilities
  5. Maintain and improve the Flotilla Emergency Reponse Plan

Vice-Flotilla Commander

  1. Direct and coordinate the efforts of the flotilla staff
  2. Support the Flotilla Commander's liaison efforts with Air Station Atlantic City, Sector Baltimore and DIRAUX

Communications Officer

  1. Continue supporting Division and District-wide radio drills
  2. Work with SO-CM to plan and execute a Division-wide communication program as required
  3. Teach member training session in radio communication etiquette and technique
  4. Assist FSO-MT with organizing and teaching a communications specialty course
  5. Develop a flotilla call-down tree and communications plan for call-outs, natural disasters, etc.  Have drills to test and work out bugs
  6. Promote more participation in the communications program (mobile communications facilities, etc.)

Communications Services Officer

  1. Maintain the flotilla website as a useful tool for day-to-day flotilla communications
  2. Monitor CHDIRAUX, DIRAUX, National, District, and Division websites for new information, and disseminate that information to members
  3. Develop a web-enabled contact and scheduling system

Finance Officer

  1. Prepare the annual flotilla budget
  2. Identify flotilla property with potentially high maintenance cost and prepare a financing plan
  3. Adjust the schedule for collection of flotilla dues to allow disenrollments to be processed prior to 1 October
  4. Establish a system for tracking flotilla property and CG property in flotilla custody, as necessary
  5. Prepare letters documenting donated property
  6. Work with FSO-MA to set up a system for tracking flotilla property

Information Services Officer

  1. Track activities necessary for members to maintain qualifications (pilot, AO, IT, etc.); provide status reports at least quarterly
  2. Work with SO-IS to ensure feedback after activities are entered into AUXDATA
  3. Work with SO-IS to identify and correct problems with information in AUXDATA
  4. Provide monthly summary reports of flotilla activities

Materials Officer

  1. Acquire all training materials necessary to support the flotilla member training program
  2. Ensure flotilla staff and members have adequate supply of stamps, envelopes, etc.
  3. Prepare a list of property necessary to support flotilla activities; investigate availability through DRMO, etc.
  4. Investigate rules for tracking and dispositioning property acquired from these sources

Member Training Officer

  1. Plan and implement a comprehensive flotilla member training program including,
         - New members (work with FSO-PS)
         - Specialty courses (at least one, preferably two or more)
         - Regular operational training
         - Training sessions necessary to support special events (e.g. SAREX)
         - In-flotilla training sessions at most monthly meetings
  2. Work with FSO-OP to ensure all aircrew and observers are flying regularly
  3. Encourage and assist observers training to aircrew qualification
  4. Work with SO-MT to share training opportunities with other flotillas
  5. Work with SO-MT to establish cross-training with other flotillas

Operations Officer

  1. Assist the Flotilla Commander with developing techniques for operating with aircraft to present to boat flotillas
  2. Assist FC with establishing liaison with Air Station Atlantic City
  3. Continue scheduling observers and aircrew
  4. Serve as member of Division-wide SAREX planning committee
  5. Work with SO-OP, SO-OP(AIR), and SO-MT to establish regular joint air-surface operations training events during routine patrols

Public Affairs Officer

  1. Work with SO-PA to get SAREX article published in The Blinker
  2. Get at least one article on flotilla activities published
  3. Get at least one news report on flotilla activities broadcast
  4. Work at least two events (air shows, airport appreciation days, boat shows, etc.) to publicize Auxiliary Aviation and the flotilla

Publications Officer

  1. Develop a flotilla monthly newsletter
         - Solicit input from all FSOs and elected officers
         - Publish electronically and via hard copy
         - Ensure SO-PB, DCP, VCP, DCO, etc. included in distribution
  2. Work with FSO-PA to prepare articles and news releases for publication

Personnel Services Officer

  1. Follow up on recruiting referrals
  2. Ensure all new members have a mentor
  3. Develop new member information packet, keep a quantity on hand
  4. Develop standard information packet for prospective members; keep a sufficient quantity on hand for PA events
  5. Develop member involvement plan for new members
  6. Work with FSO-MT to ensure requested training is made available

Secretary of Records Officer

  1. Publish minutes of flotilla meetings at least three days prior to each subsequent meeting
  2. Ensure flotilla records are complete and on hand at flotilla HQ
  3. Work with DSO-LP and DIRAUX to get copies of any missing documents
  4. Review the Standing Rules and recommend necessary changes for vote by the members
  5. Act as flotilla parliamentarian at meetings
